Blog Anniversary

What a difference a year makes!

Today is the day. The day I started the blog on a whim. I thought everyone else is doing it why not me? I had no idea what fun it would be. How nice bloggers and knitters are or where my life would be a year later. I have made some virtual friends and real friends through my blog. My family has grown and my yarn stash has expanded. I've planned more projects than I've finished and I started knitting socks! I once said I would never make socks:)

To celebrate this momentous occasion I am having a contest. It does require a little work on your part so be warned. I have a favorite blog entry from last year, I want to know what yours is. Tell me yours when you leave a comment and I will have some goodies for one of you. Oh and tell me your favorite colors too.

Contest will be open until April 18th.
Thank You all for your nice comments and encouragement this last year. It really does mean a lot to me. Knit On!

Knitting Art April 24 2007. That one is my favorite. Knitting truely enriches our lives more than I ever would have imagined. It's kind of like a security blanket for me. Whatever is going on in life, it's always there to hold on to and feel good about. Thank you for teaching me how to knit, I'm grateful every day.

January 24, 2008 Stir the Dye pot...this is when I fell in love with the chocolate covered cherry yarn. My grandma had passed away the month before and one of the last things that my girls did with her was share a box of chocolate covered cherries and marshmallows. She is also the one who taught me how to knit. Even though she never saw the socks that I made with this fantastic yarn I know she would have loved them and every time i see them i think of her. Thanks for helping me remember my grandma!

I really like the pictures of you knitting and camping in your "Camping" July 2, 2007 blog post! It looked like it was a great trip to the Boundary Waters!
And from experience, I know, it takes a lot of effort to bring knitting into the BWCA, let alone take the time to knit up there.
btw.-I love blues.
Great Contest, Senja!

Sat. Feb 16, 2008. Your poem about skiing in the darkness. Beautiful! It brought the feeling right into me. I love so many colors....they're all nice.

Aug 27, 2007 End of Summer Fun. I was laughing so hard about your problems with the sleeves on the bunting.
and
Dec 13, 2007 In the Last 10 Days. Again I was laughing about your conversation with B about the huge christmas tree. Heck, I like trees.

I couldn't pick between the two, both made me laugh. You know I like to knit, but I don't have much time. If I have room in my bag this summer I might take some on the ship with me. I need some ideas of what to make though. Hint Hint.

Well Senja,
I'm getting my entry in under the wire here...I have to go with Random Stuff. Not because you struggled with that bunting so much (which I LOVE by the way) but because it introduced the swift & ball winder with which we have had so much fun! Who knew what a blast winding yarn could be?
Love ya!
Jess

Well it is still the 18th - hope it's not too late.

I loved the photos of the kids and the Christmas tree. Actually, you have so many wonderful photos on your blog it boggles my mind.

I basically don't blog at all so I really admire those that do.

My favorite color - well that's obvious by my name, and I'm purple on Ravelry.
