Throw me a party, no more sleeves!

I just finished the sleeves for the bunting from hell. OK not really from hell the sleeves just gave me an unreasonable amount of trouble. Last night I picked up for the ribbing around the neck edge and I anticipate the rest of this project will not be as difficult as those 6 sleeves I knit. I will post a picture when I have a FO.

So whenever you guys want to throw that party for me, I'm there.

I also took a quick trip to the Urgent Care today after spending the whole day at work with back pain and near tears. Turns out I have inflammation of the sacral ileac joint or the SI Joint as most people know it. It is a repetitive use injury. So I have to use ice, Ibuprofen and Valium for back spasms. The good news is that it should get better in 2-3 days. Just in time to go back to work.

I'll have to spend a few days knitting on the couch... bummer:)

Fall is Here!

Fall has hit with a vengeance here. It seems so early for all this fall color. I guess it has been too dry and hot for the trees to figure out its only September. I love fall it's my favorite season but the sooner the leaves change the sooner the leaves all fall off and winter seems really long. But it is pretty huh? This is near my house today where then later it stormed and stormed. We even lost power for a while.
I went to visit Jess today and finally took a picture of the baby I'm making the bunting for. Isn't he a cutie? I even caught a smile.

Soon buddy I'll have a nice cuddly warm bunting for you.

Random stuff

My dad was visiting the other weekend and came to KD's soccer game. He always has a hat to wear, I think he was a cowboy in another life. Him and Noley hung out for a while. Noley calls him Papa.I had my project with which was farther along than is is now because I frogged the second sleeve the other night. I am on sleeve number 6 now. I hope the baby doesn't grow another arm or something or I may lose my mind! As far as I know he only has 2 arms like a regular baby. This came in the mail today. The swift I got off of Amazon with my rewards points from my bank. So it was free! I didn't even have to pay for shipping! How fricking awesome is that? The yarn was from the stash not new:(
Yarnhog is having a contest so here is my knitting spot. The futon I got at a garage sale this summer for 15 dollars is right by the TV and Computer. So BDiddy and I can either watch a show or surf the net. We don't like to watch the same kinds of shows on the tube so we each have to have an option the other isn't doing. We moved the TV up to the den last weekend and I like only having the one TV hooked up.
We had the old TV in the picture upstairs and the nicer one in the basement but I was spending a lot of time in the basement alone at night because of the discord in TV shows. This way I can't spend too much time alone or watching TV.

I have many many plans for new project none of which I can discuss until I get the bunting done. Look for ideas, plans and hopefully FO's soon.

(Sigh) I will finish the bunting eventually. Until then you'll find me here on my days off.

Too busy (with life)

I will be busy the next few days so I may not have time to blog until Sunday or Monday. One of my friends from my teen years died last night after a battle with cancer. He will be missed. I am glad for him that his struggle on this earth is over.

On the knitting front the baby bunting is so close to done but I have to have more than an hour here and an hour there to finish it. With the upcoming weekend I think it will be a bit longer until it is done. Unless work is not too busy tonight.

Someone asked about the socks and I am sad to say I have only been working on the bunting for the last 2 and a half months. I think the fact that I haven't finished them is more related to my busy life than my ability to knit. I hope so anyway!

Jess and I have big plans to knit ourselves sweaters this Fall/Winter. I am putting that plan on the blog so we get a kick in the pants and actually do it! Keep on prodding me (us) to work on that plan. I may need a cattle prod occasionally.

Not really looking forward to work tonight but I'll feel better once I get there. I almost hope its busy, the night goes by faster that way.

I wish I was here right now.

New Name

Hi all! I'm just popping in between picking up kids from school, conferences and soccer to see what you all think of the new name. What do you think? I need a little feedback here! My other choice was something along the lines of The Blue Sheep or The Purple Ewe. For no real reason at all.

I think Yarn-U-Phoria may be a better way to spell it though. I did a little blog search before putting it up and didn't come up with any named the same. Please let me know if there is one out there with the same name.

I'm off to make a quickie dinner and shuffle a kid off to a soccer game. Knit On!
